  Get an insight into Airfield’s new CEO, Claire Mac Evilly and some of her priorities as CEO

  Claire Mac Evilly started as CEO in January this year. We are delighted to share with you an insight into Claire's background and priorities as CEO in her own words below.

  I am delighted to take up the reigns from Grainne and lead Airfield at this very exciting time for food sustainability in Ireland. My background as a public health nutritionist instilled a passion for food and health in me that's still as strong as ever. Living locally, I have fond memories of many happy days spent in Airfield with my family. For over twenty years, I worked for research organisations, not-for-profits, and the food industry, in roles that built partnerships with the public, Government, media and industry.

  Community is the heart of Airfield. We will continue to open the gates to people from all over Ireland and further afield. As the new CEO, my commitment is to ensure that the estate continues to thrive and grow, finding new ways to reach every corner of our community. By working together with the Board, the Trust, and the incredible team, we will strengthen Airfield’s legacy beyond the walls of the estate and continue to ensure that Airfield is an inspiring place to visit, eat, shop, learn and work, with the farm and gardens at its core.

  We will develop the role of Airfield in building partnerships and collaborations to make Ireland a healthier and more sustainable place to live. In support of our mission - to inspire and enable people to make better food choices, we will increase our contribution to food sustainability research.

  There will be plenty of news coming out of Airfield this year, so continue to follow us via our social and email updates. I am very excited to now be the CEO of this beautiful estate.
