Young Gardener Workshops: Where Your Child’s Green Thumb Grows!
Looking for a fun and educational experience for your child this summer? Let them get their hands dirty and discover the joy of gardening with our Young Gardener workshops at Airfield Estate! Perfect for children aged 8-12, these hands-on workshops allow young gardeners to explore the exciting world of plants, from growing delicious fruits and vegetables to colourful flowers – all in the heart of our organic food garden.
Workshops will run 10 am – 12 pm, drop-off and pick-up at the sunken garden, just inside the entrance gates next to the ticket office.
Each month, we’ll dive into a new topic, helping your child build their gardening skills step-by-step, including:
- Planning and Preparing Beds for Spring – May 10th
- Biodiversity and Composting – June 14th
- Regenerative Farming and Crop Maintenance – July 5th
- Seed Saving and Storage – August 9th
- Preparing Beds for Autumn & Beyond – September 13th
